After the Dataset by Gazelli Art House was selected by the Friends of HEK community for HEK's online exhibited space. Curated by Pegah Hoghoughi, the group exhibition brings together artistic positions working with machine learning, generative systems, and simulation.
At its core, the exhibition explores how AI shapes cultural memory, imagination, and visual knowledge. The works draw on archives, mythological narratives, and ecological systems, translating them into algorithmic processes. In doing so, they reveal how datasets carry inherited assumptions while simultaneously producing new visual imaginaries.
Rather than focusing on individual images, the exhibition shifts attention to the conditions of their production. It shows how visual forms emerge through repetition, transformation, and interpretation, continuously evolving over time.
