Mesh is a festival for art and technology. It focuses on the collaboration between artists and technologists, showcasing how new technologies influence society and how these developments should be assessed. Tooling the Future is the focus of the first edition of the festival, addressing the question of new or alternative tools for a friendly future.
From the vision of an AI city to transcending planetary boundaries, our world is becoming more interconnected and intertwined every day. With powerful tools like artificial intelligence, texts, images, or entire environments can be created with the click of a button. The progress in quantum computing promises to solve previously unsolvable computing problems. But what kind of solutions and spaces do we want? From tools for critical access to proposals for physical coalitions – what are the tools of the future that we really need?
From October 16 to 20, 2024, the Dreispitz area around Freilager Platz will become a festival ground for art and technology with live performances, exhibitions, artist talks, and panel discussions. For more information, visit: meshfestival.ch.
