In 1966, 9 Evenings: Theatre and Engineering brought artists, engineers and scientists together in New York in what is widely regarded as a landmark moment in the relationship between performance and technology. Sixty years later, Somerset House Studios revisits this experimental spirit with 3 Evenings: Experiments in Performance and Technology, asking what it means to perform with and through technology today.
Extending the programme online, 3ETV is an international curated TV station exploring how performance and technology have evolved in an always-on, networked world. Across nine simultaneous channels, audiences can navigate their own viewing experience, moving between artworks, experimental shorts, archival material, newly commissioned contributions and live broadcasts of the performances taking place as part of 3 Evenings.
HEK joins this international collaboration with a channel of its own, bringing together a selection of current and past works from its programme and network. Together with Somerset House Studios and international partners, 3ETV creates a networked space for experimenting with new ways of broadcasting, watching and experiencing performance across physical and digital spaces.
3ETV is streaming from 12 October to 18 December 2026 via Channel, Somerset House’s digital platform.
