Quayola: En plein air | HEK x Tezos Foundation Reception
Join us for a summer evening of art, drinks and conversation to celebrate «En plein air», an outdoor installation by artist Quayola, presented by HEK in partnership with the Tezos Foundation during Art Basel Week.
Staged on HEK’s exterior platform, the installation brings fragments from Quayola’s ongoing series Pointillisme into public space. Using a high-precision laser scanner, Quayola captures intricate tree formations and transforms the scanner’s failures, glitches and chromatic aberrations into a new visual language. Between landscape, machine vision and digital abstraction, «En plein air» opens up a dialogue between pictorial gesture and machinic expressiveness.
The reception offers an opportunity to experience the installation in the open air, meet and exchange during Art Basel Week, and spend the evening together at HEK.
From 22:00, the evening continues downstairs with Rafael Lozano-Hemmer as DJ tacostan.
