ムジョウ MUJŌ – 4-DAYS-RETREAT WITH CHRISTIANE PESCHEK
With mujō – the extreme now, Christiane Peschek opens up a space to re-experience body, relationships, and time within digital culture.
As part of the exhibition New Rituals [for the End of the World], artist and researcher Christiane Peschek invites participants to take part in mujō – the extreme now, a four-day, artistically framed experiential format. Drawing on the Japanese concept of impermanence, mujō explores how digital images, algorithmic systems, and logics of optimization shape our relationship to the body, to others, and to time. In a small group, participants step out of familiar digital routines and follow a clearly structured process of silence, biographical work, somatic practice, meditation, and personal guidance.
The format is not conceived as a wellness retreat or self-improvement program, but as a focused space in which perception slows down, presence becomes sharper, and the body returns to the centre as a site of experience.
mujō – the extreme now takes place from 19 to 23 August 2026 at THE BARN, Pepper Collection, Lech am Arlberg, Austria. Further information on the program, participation conditions, and costs can be found in the catalogue. Booking enquiries can be sent directly to office@christianepeschek.com.
