To mark the exhibition’s closing weekend, Marlene Wenger and Anan Fries lead a joint tour through «New Rituals [for the End of the World]». They offer insights into the development of the exhibition concept, introduce selected works and discuss how artists respond to social and ecological crises by creating new rituals and exploring connections between technology, spirituality, and society.

The tour takes place after the TechBrunch with Anan Fries, and the two events can be combined. TechBrunch participants receive free admission to the exhibition on the day.

Anan Fries is an interdisciplinary artist working across art, performance and research in Basel and Berlin. Through installations, performances, VR and video works, they explore themes including transformation, reproduction, techno-spirituality and the entanglement of nature and technology. Their practice combines posthumanist and xenofeminist perspectives with a critical examination of technological power structures.

Marlene Wenger is a curator, researcher and Head of Programme at HEK. Her work examines how digital technologies shape the production, perception and distribution of contemporary art. Her research and curatorial interests include artificial intelligence, digital self-representation, body images on social media and post-digital exhibition practices.
