Family Day: Magic Tea, Amulets and New Rituals
Families with children aged 7 and up are invited to discover the exhibition together and to immerse themselves in a creative workshop.
What small rituals give us strength when the world feels too big?
Which signs bring luck, courage or protection?
And what does a good-luck charm look like when we make it ourselves?
On Family Sunday, we invite families with children aged 7 and up to explore the exhibition New Rituals [for the End of the World] in short, family-friendly tours and open workshops. Inspired by the four elements, we discover small rituals, magical symbols and materials that can strengthen, protect or connect us.
Workshops
Mixing Magic Tea
We'll mix our own magic teas from herbs, flowers and spices. We'll sniff things, experiment and decide what goes into our blends. Maybe it becomes a courage potion for wobbly knees, a sunshine mix for grey days, a dreamy tea for nighttime or a secret blend whose powers are only known to you. The finished magic tea can be enjoyed at HEK or taken home.
DIY Amulets
Let's make our own amulets and good-luck charms from embossing foil! Lines, signs and symbols become small, shimmering objects for doors, windows, above your bed or secret favourite places. They can watch guard, remind us of something important or bring a little bit of magic into everyday life.
To let off some energy, there'll be games to play outside on the platform!
The workshops are walk-in / walk-out and can be visited at any time without registration.
