Image & Sound: A space filled with light, movement and sound
Create large, digital, animated images, project them onto objects and build a walk-through installation at HEK. Holiday workshop in cooperation with K'Werk.
In this 4-day workshop, you will learn how to create large, digital, animated images and project them onto walls, objects and buildings. This produces visual effects that transform the space. We will create a space filled with lights, images and sounds that interact with each another.
The workshop takes place at HEK and K'Werk and draws on the current exhibition by Studio Lemercier. At the end, we will present the walk-in installation at HEK to your family and friends.
What will I learn and what do I need to bring?
You will learn to create images on a computer and project them onto objects or into spaces using projectors. You will learn to move (animate) the images and control them with sound. The workshop takes place at HEK and at K’Werk.
No prior knowledge is required. The important thing is that you enjoy experimenting and are curious. Please bring a packed lunch.
Register via K'Werk (see ticket link)
The workshop is led by Katherine Newton (image & sound) and Simon Krebs (animation).
In cooperation with K’Werk, Bildschule bis 16 at the School of Design Basel.
