anrufkultur - descriptive online tour
Experience the exhibition New Rituals [for the End of the World] live from home – with plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion. In collaboration with anrufkultur.
Together with anrufkultur, we are organising an interactive guided tours for people who, due to a visual impairment, limited mobility or other reasons, are unable to visit a museum or take part in conventional guided tours.
We will guide you through the exhibition New Rituals [for the End of the World], discuss selected artworks and introduce you to contemporary media art.
The exhibition takes a look at newly emerging social strategies for dealing with the difficult global situation. Notably, new ritual practices are currently arising precisely at the intersection of technology and spirituality. The international group exhibition brings together positions that conceive new rituals as coping mechanisms to resist the prevailing sense of impending doom. The artists in New Rituals explore which symbolic actions might hold us together when the sky collapses. Which new mythologies could help us survive — and transform — the end of the world as we know it?
You can contribute to the tour with your questions and comments, bringing it to life with your knowledge and curiosity.
The number of participants is limited. Participation is by registration only.
