Kids and Families

For children and families, we offer a program which promotes a creative and independent use of new media. Particularly popular is the BitFabrik, the programming club for children aged 9-14, as well as the Birthday workshop for chilren aged 8 and up.

BitFabrik is supported by:

Family day

On a selected Sunday during each exhibition adults and children are invited to explore the exhibition and then join a workshop where we craft, solder, invent and experiment together. Please find the dates and specific topics in our program.

Age:

suitable for children from age 7 (younger siblings are also welcome)

Duration:

14:00-17:00, you can take individual breaks, the bistro is open.

Costs:

included in admission price (free for children under 16), free with Familienpass (material costs if necessary).

Children's birthday celebration

HEK offers a great venue to celebrate your child’s birthday with a workshop revolving around robots and solar lamps.

Wiggly-eyed-bot

What exactly is a robot? What kind of robot would children like to invent? Using recycled materials, a battery and a vibration motor, all the children solder and build a small, spinning wiggle-eyed bot and make it whirl around.
Each child can take their robot home at the end.

Water and syrup are provided. You can bring your own birthday cake.
