Untitled No 1027 / While Waiting (Online Zine)

Untitled is a series of "Online Zines" by the Swiss media artist Esther Hunziker. The magazines can be browsed online with a simple click. They contain photos, footage from surveillance cameras, and computer graphics, which users can individually combine and rearrange.

Untitled N°1027 / While Waiting features on the left side word fragments like I don’t know, Enough, or Speak! These are combined with instructions on intensity and emotional tone such as (highly excited), (conciliating), or (violently). The comments on emotionality overlay excerpts of a photograph, which gradually reveals, click by click, the image of a young girl lying on a bed and listening to music. The progression, which varies depending on the user, embodies the uniqueness of each "reading."
